Our Post #111
On The Pledge
To Our Members,
As you have heard we closed our doors February 25th due to many issues that need to be addressed with the building. We have been paying for insurance coverage for over 30 years and have never filed a claim. With the help of Reliable Claims Adjusters we decided to file a claim to try and get some much needed work to our roof and building done.
Our insurance company is dragging their feet. Because of this, the project is going to take more time than what was initially thought and discussed.
The project will now have to be done in stages and we had to get the Lounge back open in order to have an income to pay our monthly bills.
This building was built in 1953, and has been very hard to maintain. The American Legion owns the building, but the City of Tampa owns the property. Unfortunately the City of Tampa won’t help us with maintenance.
So we are looking to our members and non-members for donations to help your American Legion Post 111. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. For all who donate, you will be mentioned in our newsletter, and a plaque will be hung in our lobby.
Thanks to all of our members in advance for your time, understanding and assistance in this extremely important matter.
